Principal's Corner
Dear Etna Knight Families,
As we come to the close of another remarkable school year at Sigonella Elementary, I find myself reflecting with gratitude on all we have accomplished together. It has been a year filled with growth, connection, and countless meaningful moments that have strengthened our school community.
Our students continue to inspire us each day. In classrooms and throughout the school, I have seen them read, write, solve complex problems, explore scientific ideas, and deepen their understanding of the world through social studies. Beyond academics, they have demonstrated what it truly means to be an Etna Knight—showing kindness, curiosity, and a commitment to one another.
As a military-connected school community, we are uniquely defined by change and transition. Our students handle these experiences with courage and grace. They welcome new classmates with open arms, support one another through goodbyes, and approach challenges with determination. These qualities are what make our Sigonella Knights such tremendous scholars and Sigonella Elementary such a special place.
To our families who will be moving on to new communities or new countries, please know that you will always be a part of the Etna Knight family. We are proud of the role we have played in your child’s journey and will continue to cheer you on wherever your path leads.
Thank you for your partnership, your support, and for entrusting us with your children each day. It is truly an honor to serve this incredible community.
Wishing you all a safe, restful, and joyful summer. We look forward to joyfully welcoming new and returning families back in August.
With kindness and appreciation,
Dr. Sara Guth
