Dear Parents and Guardians,
What fun we had this month! We have been privileged to celebrate our Military-Connected Children, whose resilience and strength inspire us daily. Their unique contributions have truly enriched our school community, and we thank all the families who joined us in this month’s celebrations. We were thrilled to see so many parents visiting the school throughout the month. Your presence makes a significant difference, and we encourage you to keep coming by to see all the amazing things happening at our school.
We also focused on the powerful theme of Courage this month. Our students demonstrated courage by trying new things, standing up for what is right, and stepping out of their comfort zones. A special highlight was Ms. Palm leading our students in a performance about courage. If you missed it, I bet your child will sing a few bars!
Looking ahead, May promises to be just as exciting as we explore the theme of Creativity. Creativity is a vital skill for elementary students, fostering innovation and problem-solving abilities that will serve them well beyond their school years. We look forward to seeing our students express their originality and inventiveness in various activities planned for the coming month.
Can you believe we have only five weeks left in the school year? Time is flying by, and we must continue to engage and support our learners. For parents of students in grades 3-5, please take a moment to check Aspen for updates on grades and assignment completion. Staying informed will help ensure that our students finish the year strong. Let’s also keep our children reading at home! Reading not only boosts ALL academic skills but also stimulates imagination and curiosity.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. I’m wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Kindly,
Dr. Schonffeldt
